Although painting the outside of a house is a big undertaking, most homes can be completed in just a few days. Of course, this depends on the size of our house, the size of the crew painting it, and product drying times. Once PaintRite Pros begins your project, our crew will be onsite consecutive days until the job is completed. We employ full-time painters; our crew of professionals is available for inside and outside projects year-round. With all variables in consideration, PaintRite Pros can finish most residential jobs in a few days, and smaller homes in just one day.
The entire process begins when you call our office for a free quote. We will visit your home, take an assessment of the work needed, and give you a clear and comprehensive quote. This quote will cover all work needed to be done, including prepping the space, paint and materials, work, and clean-up. We make sure to thoroughly prepare every house we work on so paint goes on smoothly; this includes repairing dry rot, resetting loos nails, and power washing houses as needed (for houses built after 1978). Once a contract has been signed, we will set a start date within a couple of weeks. Start date is dependent on the time of year – although we work throughout all the seasons, we don’t want to start your exterior house painting in the rain. Our work is completed within the usual workweek, Monday through Friday.
The Short Answer
So the answer to the question, ‘How long does it take to paint the outside of a house?” is: It depends! The time frame from calling our company for a quote to final walk-through depends on some variables. The short version is: for a smaller home, just one day. For a larger home, a few consecutive days. We don’t start a project until we can dedicate a team to work on the job is done. If you’re ready to repaint the outside of your house, call our office to discuss a timeline!
